Victoria Ward

Victoria has been actively involved in a range of stage productions over the years including leading roles at school, dance shows and on the professional stage. After being involved at the age of 15 in a rock opera, which was staged locally in schools by Scottish Opera, Victoria was cast as a junior principal singer and appeared in the British tour of Kurt Weill's STREET SCENE. The BBC recorded a live performance of this for radio broadcast and a soundtrack was later recorded in Glasgow, on which Victoria sang solo. A qualified dance teacher of tap, ballet and modern, she has also been involved with the Scottish Dance Theatre and Scottish Ballet in various projects. COPACABANA is Victoria's thirteenth show with us and roles have included Mrs Sherwood Stratton in BARNUM, Mabel Washington in both our 1998 and 1999 productions of FAME, Mrs Kopecki in our world amateur premiere of BIG - THE MUSICAL and Anybodys in WEST SIDE STORY. She has also appeared in 42ND STREET, CAROUSEL, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, ANNIE, OLIVER! (2000 production), MACK AND MABEL and ME AND MY GIRL.
