Steve Ross
Born in the East End of Glasgow, Steve started acting at school where he was persuaded by his drama teacher to get involved in acting. He did, but for only one reason - he had a crush on his teacher, Miss McMillan! He became a member of the Easterhouse Festival Society Drama Group until 1986, performing in many plays and pantomimes. He then spent some time with the Adult Drama Group at the Cumbernauld Theatre under the direction of Liz Carruthers. Steve then turned his hand to puppetry before studying full-time at Langside College, gaining a Diploma in Theatre and Drama Skills. During his training he performed in a wide range of roles from playing a Lost Boy in PETER PAN to the leading role in ROBERT BURNS. Other favourite roles include Major Robbie Ross in OUR COUNTRY'S GOOD and Robert in THEY SHOOT HORSES, DON'T THEY? Steve is delighted to be making his debut with the Apollo Players.
