Maria Wilson

Georgina Maria Wilson is an Honours graduate of the RSAMD, where she studied singing with Patricia MacMahon and conducting with Alistair Mitchell. She has played lead roles including Lucy Willow in BLESS THE BRIDE, Tuptim in THE KING AND I, Narrator in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT and Nancy in OLIVER! She also sung in the chorus of the opera DON GIOVANNI and CARMEN at the RSAMD. She was Musical Director of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME at the Mitchell Theatre in 2001. Maria has conducted performances of Stainer?s CRUCIFIXION and the Faure?s REQUIEM in Paisley and Benjamin Britten?s ST NICOLAS at the RSAMD, where she currently directs the choirs of the Junior Academy.
