Isabel Beaton

Isabel has been dancing since the age of three. She trained at the Christine Atkin Academy of Dance and has run her own dance school in Glasgow for the past ten years. WEST SIDE STORY is her eleventh production with The Apollo Players and recent credits include understudying the role of Iris Kelly in our 1999 production of FAME, playing her first principal role with the club, that of Angelique in our smash-hit production of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, our anniversary revue 60 SHOWS ON at the Mitchell Theatre in which she played Rizzo in a GREASE medley and most recently MACK AND MABEL. Isabel has also danced with other Glasgow theatre companies and has appeared in CALL ME MADAM and played Dream Laurey in OKLAHOMA! with Glasgow Lyric Club as well as numerous pantomimes with Glasgow Airport Drama Club. Isabel has also successfully competed throughout the United Kingdom in dancing and has participated in various dance festivals in Spain, France and Russia.
