Gemma Morrison

Gemma comes from Helensburgh and has been dancing since the age of two. She currently attends the Royal Academy of Dance at the Lillian McNeil School of Dancing in Glasgow, where she is a second year student. Last year she took part in a CATS masterclass at the New London Theatre in which she played the role of Demeter. She danced CARMEN at the Theatre Royal, Glasgow last year and has also appeared in the film COMPLICITY. WEST SIDE STORY is Gemma's eighth consecutive show with the Apollo Players, having appeared in BARNUM, FAME (1998/99), BIG, Swing Cagelle in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, OLIVER! and MACK AND MABEL. Recently Gemma danced before her biggest single audience at the Scottish Football Cup Final at Hampden Park. The Football was irrelevant!
