Christopher Campbell

Christopher has been involved in theatre since the age of 11 and has previously trained at the Scottish Youth Theatre. Being a keen performer since school, he has played roles in Grease, Annie Get Your Gun, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, Kiss Me Kate and Oliver! He then went on to perform with the Inverclyde Youth Theatre. Christopher was chosen to take part in a Cats masterclass at the New London Theatre, where he trained with some of London's top choreographers.

Christopher has appeared in numerous productions with The Apollo Players. He joined in 1996 for Singin' In The Rain, and has enjoyed productions including La Cage aux Folles, West Side Story, Oliver! and Copacabana, playing the role of Rolf in The Sound of Music and appearing as a soloist in Anything Goes.

Christopher's Apollo history also includes our anniversary revue 60 Shows On at the Mitchell Theatre and performing as a soloist in our centenary tribute to Richard Rodgers The Sound of His Music at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, accompanied by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Chris also featured as a dancer and singer in Scotland - Reaching Out for Africa held at the SECC, and as a soloist in the recent Showcase for the club.

Christopher is also a member of the Goldstar Galaxy Cheerleading squad who were crowned International Champions last summer, and are current Scottish and British Champions.

He is delighted to be featuring in this production of The Wizard of Oz, and would like to thank his family and friends for their continued support. Christopher dedicates his performance to his mum and dad.
