C.J Glover

C.j Glover

Although The Wizard of Oz marks CJ's debut with The Apollo Players, he is no stranger to the world of musical theatre, having previously played the roles of Mr. Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors and Dandy Dan in Bugsy Malone.

As a final year student of Acting and Performance at the Glasgow College of Nautical Studies, CJ has gained experience in acting, singing and dancing. College productions include A Midsummer Night's Dream and Teechers. Roles include Mr Bogie in Net Murders, Dame Dolly Dumpling in Princess Sugar and the Chamber of Secrets, and James in Brothers of Thunder. CJ will also be playing the title role in the college's Christmas pantomime, Mother Goose.

Other theatre experience includes working as a member of staff for the Scottish Youth Theatre at the 2004 Summer Festival, working at various venues in and around Glasgow, including the Citizen's Theatre. In addition to this, CJ also enjoyed a successful season at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with Willy Russell's, Stags and Hens, playing the role of Peter.

CJ is hoping to train as a director of theatre. With this keen interest in the art of directing, CJ intents to direct a Fringe production for next year's Fringe Festival in Edinburgh.

Despite playing a variety of roles, CJ believes that playing the roles of Miss Gultch/Wicked Witch of The West in this production of The Wizard of Oz is the most challenging to date.

CJ appreciates the help and support received from friends and family, and would like to take this opportunity to thank them for this, and dedicate his performance to his Gran.
