Andrene Hughes

Andrene started dancing at the Valde Hunter School of Dance in Glasgow at the age of three. She loves all styles of dance and is fully trained in ballet, tap, modern and disco dance. Born in Glasgow, Andrene gained an honours degree in Business from Caledonia University Business School. Whilst only a recent addition to the Apollo Players, and making her debut on stage for the Club as Carmen Diaz, Andrene first appeared in the pantomime Babes in the Wood at the Kings Theatre and more recently for the Minerva Club in their production of Kiss Me, Kate at the Mitchell Theatre.

Television credits include guest appearances in productions of River City for BBC1 and Taggart for STV. Andrene is thrilled to be making her principal debut in the role of Carmen in this production of Fame, and would like to thank her family and friends for their continued support.
